We had quite a few brave kids come out to
try Steer Riding. Only one actually made the 8 seconds, Cody
Moore. Way to go Cody! Here are the names of the kids who
tried steer riding:
Dave Dieleman, Robbie Dieleman, Jordyn Saretsky, Cody Moore,
Angela Ettinger, Bobbie Ferster, Christopher Dieleman, Jessica
Burlon and Victor Dejong.
We also had a full load for the Mutton Busting. I think that
Kyle Bell had the most fun riding his sheep, as he didn't
want to get off. Here is a list of the mutton busters:
Kyle Bell, Avery Bell, Jamie Bell, Hailey Bell, Megan Johnson,
Conner Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Cassandra Penfold, Wyatt
Brooks, Jordan Brooks, Luke Groot, Steve Dieleman, Zachary
Stenhouse, Megan Woelders, Mathew Kingsmilll, Adam Kingsmill,
Chase Woelders, Joel Tiebo, Jacob Maiser, Catherine Helps,
Josh Maiser and Emily Martin.
The High Point buckle winners in each division were:
Junior D: Kristen Bell
Junior C: Brittany Ewald
Junior B: Tie - Kelly Park & Kaleigh Allen
Junior A: Katie Park
The overall high point buckle winner was a tie, so they had
to flip a coin. The winner was Kelly Park. Congratulations
to all our winners!!!
Our team sorting was a great success, with 30 teams this
year! Results will be in an upcoming issue.
Our Via Rail tickets were won by Kim Klassen.
Our Hawk Air tickets were won by Joanne Gibson and Marg MacKinnon.
Thank you to all our volunteers that made this weekend go
so smoothly, and the sponsors who helped us put this event
on. Thanks also to the Elks Club for the great food all weekend!
